Realistic target setting
Ok, step two for reducing exam anxiety, setting a realistic target for the exam.
I’ve really enjoyed reading all the GMAT stories on the GMAT club forum but I think I phyed myself out. Lots of people were getting good scores of 700 plus(max is 800) and feeling really disappointed. As a result I started to feel that I should be scoring in the mid 700’s, which added way more pressure to my exam prep. Not a good place to be in.
But as my friends and mum have reminded me, it’s about doing your best.
So my target is score is 670. I will feel really pleased if I can bump it up a bit higher and a 650 is acceptable.
So note to self stop comparing yourself to others.
My next step will be to sit practice exam and see whether my learning over the past month has sunk in. It will also allow me to identify and create a study plan for next week.
P.S Step three for me was going dancing.
